Some things are destined to change. Others remain the same indefinitely. Rap and Hip-Hop have changed significantly since the late 80s. It grew from fringe genre to worldwide phenomenon. Boogie Down Productions, X-Clan, Brand Nubian, Public Enemy, MC Trouble, and yes, the Poor Righteous Teachers, with lead MC, Wise Intelligent, were motivational speakers and teachers for black kids. They spoke their lessons over funky, groovy beats.
Nowadays, hip-hop is a self-destructive, criminal reinforcement, misogynistic genre of garbage. It brainwashes young Nubians (“blacks”) into believing gangster culture and violence against other black people is cool. That’s also why Euro-American media embrace hip-hop, because of its negative effects on the community. Regardless, rappers and “blacks” in general got arrested, harassed and/or killed by thug cops arbitrarily back then, just as they do now.
The Wise Intelligent incident
Mr. Timothy Taylor, aka Wise Intelligent, blogged about his latest experience via Myspace. Wise was working on his latest project, “Dying To Learn” on July 8 in his hometown of Trenton, NJ. It’s a documentary about high lead levels in inner-city schools. He interviewed the superintendent of Trenton Schools and shot a lot of footage. Wise went to the studio thereafter to work on a track. He said Ice Cube’s song “Today Was a Good Day” was the perfect anthem for how everything worked so smoothly and efficiently that day.
Everything change when Wise was on his way home. He stopped at a light when a good friend of his ran up to the car to say what’s up. It was less than a mile from his house. They briefly exchange pleasantries before Wise drove off. Wise was parking in front of his home a few minutes later when a cop car pulls behind him. Two police thugs got out of the car and begin asking him a series of questions. “Do you have a license,” “do you have registration,” and the proverbial, “do you have any drugs in the car?” The female cop kept a hand on her gun the whole time.
The police thugs ordered Wise to get out of the car to frisk him. Wise asked why he was being pulled over. The police thug replied, “who was the guy you were talking to back there?” They of course assumed that a “drug transaction” took place simply because two black men shook hands. The thug cops tried playing mind games with Wise. They threatened to arrest him for assault on a police officer despite Wise never touching them. Wise got two tickets, a summons for “obstructing an investigation,” and now has to go to court on August 28th.
Slave-catcher cops will always exist in USA
Euro-American media and its white fanatics will dismiss this ordeal as “police just doing their jobs.” They did the same thing for the Henry Louis Gates incident when he was arrested by a cop suffering from LDWB. Wise is a youth advocate and big-time positive influence in his community. But like all “black” men in America, he is subject to this endless cycle of terrorism.
Virtually EVERY black man in this country has a story similar to this one, including myself.
These occupying armies in Nubian and Latino neighborhoods are the root of virtually all problems in cities like Trenton. Police must live in the community and be from the community to patrol it. Otherwise, police thugs are no different than U.S. military occupying Iraq and other non-white countries.
The MLK/Sharpton method of useless protests, marches, and getting radio hosts fired have done nothing but make the situation worse than it was pre-1960s. Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin once said, “an oppressed class which does not aspire to learn to use arms and to bear arms merits only to be treated as slaves.” Police thugs are the new “masters.” They have statutory permission to treat black people any which way they choose. “Constitutional rights” are a myth and will only get you killed trying to assert them.
Mr. Taylor will survive this ordeal. But he has to inconvenience his life for the fun and entertainment of police thugs and the U.S. justice system. Stay strong brotha. For those unfamiliar with the Poor Righteous Teachers, this jam was blasting in my car back in high school. Enjoy it, as it was produced by a WISE, INTELLIGENT man.
