Trial Begins For Two “Arpaio Five” Protestors In Pepper Spray Incident

UPDATED 2/4/2011: ALL CHARGES DROPPED AGAINST KLASEK AND BROCK

THAT UPDATE RHYMED, AND I’M SURE THE NEWS WAS SWEET MUSIC TO MR. GARYN KLASEK AND MS. CLAIRE ELIZABETH BROCK’S EARS REGARDLESS. THE LAST TWO OF THE “ARPAIO FIVE” TO GET THEIR DAYS IN COURT, THE JUDGE FOUND THEM NOT GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES, AFTER A DAY OF STAMMERING AND, FRANKLY, LUDICROUS TESTIMONY FROM PHOENIX POLICE.

“Arpaio Five”: Phoenix Protestors Pepper Sprayed At January Rally Face Different Obstacles

It is going on three months since five young people exercising their First Amendment rights were attacked by Phoenix Police, and forever had the course of their existences altered. There has, however, been some good news in the subsequent persecutions, which are now taking place.

All “charges” against Mr. Garyn Klasek and Ms. Claire Elizabeth Brock were dropped on January 29, after county prosecutors read the report drafted by obviously lonely Phoenix Police.

UPDATED 1/25/2010: Andy Thomas Issues “Direct Complaints” Against Three of the Five Protestors Arrested

Indictment…complaint…whatever you want to call it, Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s homeboy, county attorney Andrew Thomas, has charged Ms. Sarah Grace Daniels and Mr. Jeremiah Henry with “aggravated assault on a police officer” (a Class 2 felony) and Mr. Issa Emadi with “aggravated assault” (a Class 6 felony) and “attempted aggravated assault” (a misdemeanor).  See the press release from the “county attorney’s office” in PDF format HERE.
