Is this Red Sox @ Rays on TBS not working everywhere?

What the hell is going on? It is now 5:19 pm Pacific Time, and the Red Sox/Rays game was supposed to be on 15 minutes ago! The game DID in fact commence, as I see its in the middle of the 1st inning on several online scoreboards. Has this ever happened in television sports history? I think the worst I’ve ever seen was NBC and the “OJ white Bronco” being broadcast while GAME 5 of the NBA Finals, Knicks @ Rockets, was shown in a tiny corner window of the television screen.

I assume that blur in the corner is the Knicks/Rockets game. June 17, 1994.

That was just neolithically bad judgment by NBC execs that day (though in fairness, OJ was employed by NBC at the time)…but this Dick Clark show and now The Steve Harvey Show (which is a decent show I guess) being shown in place of Game 6 of the ALCS? After Boston just came back from the largest deficit in MLB playoff history Thursday night (unless you count that pre-1955 league), to live another day? Pretty amateur stuff, TBS. I’m not even a Sox fan, so I can only imagine how people in Boston are feeling…that is if these “technical difficulties” are going on everywhere? I have DirecTV and live in the Phoenix area?

This is pathetic. TBS and AOL/Time Warner’s only life-line for this blunder is the fact Texas has not broken out to a huge lead over Missouri yet.

FINALLY, with one out in the bottom of the 1st, the game FINALLY came on (at about 5:28pm)!! We missed ANOTHER BJ Upton homer to give the Rays the lead, 1-0. Ok, glad Turner/CNN/TNT got their heads out of their butts.

Discount Divorce

Madonna “ONLY” had to pay Guy Ritchie $60 million in a divorce settlement. I wouldn’t complain much if I were Ritchie, but after seeing all the “straight-up half” deals Michael Jordan, Michael Strahan, and Paul McCartney getting okey-doked by an opportunist, Madonna got off easy. But she is a woman, and women get all advantages in European family law; from divorce/alimony to child custody, period.
